Step 1
Begin by browning the ground beef in a large soup pot over medium-high heat until it is cooked and crumbly. Once done, set it aside. Next, brown the sausages, and then also set them aside. Lower the heat to medium and add the bacon, cooking it until it releases its fat and starts to crisp up. Step 2
Now, it's time to pour in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, chili beans, and pinto beans. Add a variety of peppers like Anaheim, jalapeño, and serrano for some kick. Season the mixture with Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chipotle powder, and cumin. Bring everything to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 2 hours until it thickens, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper before simmering for an extra 5 minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
