Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 150g sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 250g flour
- 15g baking powder
- 200ml oil
- 200ml milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk (for chocolate mix)
- Chocolate chips, for topping
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a medium-sized round tin.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla essence until doubled in volume.
Step 3
Add flour, baking powder, oil, milk, and salt. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Step 4
Separate 2/3 of the mixture into another bowl. Add cocoa powder and 2 tbsp milk. Mix well.
Step 5
Pour vanilla batter into the prepared tin. Add chocolate batter in a circular motion on top.
Step 6
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Step 7
Bake for 25-30 at 180°C minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 8
Allow to cool completely before serving.
