Ingredients
- 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1/4 cup + 1/4 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 500g Boiled potatoes
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Crushed coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Dried fenugreek
- 1 tbsp Chillies
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped
- Oil for frying
Step 1
Dough Preparation: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix well. Gradually add water, starting with 1/4 cup and adding more as needed, to form a semi-soft dough. Add oil and mix until the dough is smooth. Cover with plastic cling or a cloth and rest for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Stuffing Preparation: In a large bowl, mash boiled potatoes. Add cumin powder, chilli flakes, pepper, salt, crushed coriander seeds, dried fenugreek, chillies, onion, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
Step 3
Assembly: Divide the dough into small portions. Dust a counter with flour and roll out each portion into a square shape using a rolling pin. Place a portion of the potato stuffing in the center of the dough square.
Step 4
Folding and Rolling: Fold the sides of the dough over the stuffing, ensuring there are no gaps. Roll out the dough gently into a flat bread using a rolling pin.
Step 5
Cooking: Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Cook the flat bread until light golden brown on both sides.
Step 6
Serving: Serve hot with mint raita or your favorite accompaniment.
