Ingredients
- Large pot of water
- Soaked Rice 500g
- Clarified Butter 1/2 Cup
- 3 Cardamom
- 1 Star Anise
- 1-2 inch Cinnamon Stick
- Sugar 300g
- Milk 1&1/2 Cup
- Dry Fruits ( Almonds, Pistachio, Coconut, Dry Dates )
- Red Food color 1/4 tsp
- Green Food color 1/4 tsp
- Yellow Food color 1/4 tsp
- Pink Food color 1/4 tsp
- Elaichi Essence 1/4 tsp
- Syrup Filled Balls 10-15
Step 1
Boil water in a pot. Then add soaked rice and cook until 80% done. Once 80% done, turn off the flame and strain the water.
Step 2
In a pot, add clarified butter. Let it melt. Then add cardamom, star anise and cinnamon stick. Cook it for a minute.
Step 3
Add Sugar and Milk and cook for 2-3 minutes or until sugar melts. Add dry fruits and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Finally add 80% boiled rice and give it a good mix. Add red, green, yellow and pink food color. Add some elaichi essence and Cover to cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
Step 5
Once done, remove the lid, mix the rice and add syrup filled balls ( rasgullas ) in it.
