Royal Sweet Rice and Meat Dish

Ingredients

  • Large pot of water
  • Soaked Rice 500g
  • Clarified Butter 1/2 Cup
  • 3 Cardamom
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1-2 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • Sugar 300g
  • Milk 1&1/2 Cup
  • Dry Fruits ( Almonds, Pistachio, Coconut, Dry Dates )
  • Red Food color 1/4 tsp
  • Green Food color 1/4 tsp
  • Yellow Food color 1/4 tsp
  • Pink Food color 1/4 tsp
  • Elaichi Essence 1/4 tsp
  • Syrup Filled Balls 10-15

Step 1

Boil water in a pot. Then add soaked rice and cook until 80% done. Once 80% done, turn off the flame and strain the water.

Step 2

In a pot, add clarified butter. Let it melt. Then add cardamom, star anise and cinnamon stick. Cook it for a minute.

Step 3

Add Sugar and Milk and cook for 2-3 minutes or until sugar melts. Add dry fruits and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Finally add 80% boiled rice and give it a good mix. Add red, green, yellow and pink food color. Add some elaichi essence and Cover to cook for 15 minutes on low flame.

Step 5

Once done, remove the lid, mix the rice and add syrup filled balls ( rasgullas ) in it.
