Minced Meat with Peas

Qeema Matar is a delightful Indian dish featuring spiced minced meat cooked to perfection with tender green peas, infused with aromatic herbs and warm spices, creating a flavorful and comforting meal that's perfect with rice or flatbread.

Ingredients

  • Oil ½ Cup
  • Whole Spice 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Onions 1 large size
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Ground Beef 500g
  • Red Chilli Powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric Powder ½ tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
  • Chilli flakes ½ tsp
  • 2 tomatoes paste
  • Frozen ore fresh Peas ½ Cup
  • Beef Broth ½ Cup
  • Chillies 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp

Step 1

In a pan, add oil and let it heat. Add whole spices and Cook for a minute. Then add chopped onions and cook it for 1-2 minutes or until translucent.

Step 2

Add ginger garlic paste. Mix and cook for a minute. Then add ground beef. Mix it well and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Then cover it and cook for 5-7 minutes. After 5-7 minutes, Start adding spices. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin seeds and chilli flakes. Mix well.

Step 3

Take 2 tomatoes and blend them. Add this paste in the pan and give it a good mix. Cook it for 2-3 minutes. As tomatoes have their own water, cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add frozen peas and beef broth. Again cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the beef becomes tender and soft.

Step 5

Finally add chopped Chillies, coriander leaves, ginger and Garam Masala. Mix well.
