Ingredients
- Oil ½ Cup
- Whole Spices 1&½ tbsp
- Chopped Onions 1 Cup
- Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
- Chicken 750g
- Salt 1 tsp
- Tomatoes 400g
- Yogurt 1 Cup
- Coriander Powder 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder ½ tsp
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Green Chillies 5-6
- Hot coal
Step 1
In a large pan, add Oil. Add whole spices and cook it for a minute on medium-low flame. Then add chopped onions and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
Step 2
Add ginger garlic paste. Mix and cook for a minute. Once onions start browning, add chicken and cook it for 5-7 minutes. Continuously stir the chicken. After its colour changes to white, add salt and mix well.
Step 3
Then take 400g of tomatoes. Cut all tomatoes in half And place them on the chicken facing the skin side upward. Now cover the pan and cook until the tomatoes become tender.
Step 4
Once the tomatoes become tender, remove the skin. Mix and Cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add yogurt and cook it until dry.
Step 5
In the meantime, add some dry ingredients. Add coriander powder, Cumin powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and pepper. Mix well. Add green chillies and mix well.
Step 6
Now take a hot coal. Add a little oil and cover the pan for sometime. Here you go, delicious chicken Shinwari Karahi is ready to serve.
