Ingredients
- 1. A packet of rich chocolate cake mix weighing 18.25 ounces
- 2. A generous 1 ¼ cups of water
- 3. ⅓ cup of vegetable oil
- 4. 3 large eggs
- 5. A tub of soft vanilla ice cream, holding 1.5 quarts
- 6. A container filled with luscious chocolate fudge frosting, weighing 16 ounces
Step 1
Start by warming up the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and get ready to embark on a baking adventure. Prepare a 24-cup muffin tin by greasing it up or lining it with cute paper baking liners.
Step 2
In a spacious bowl, mix together the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until everything is nicely moistened. Use a mixer on medium speed or put some elbow grease into it with a whisk for a good 2 minutes. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the batter into each waiting cupcake cup, spreading the love evenly. Slide the tray into the preheated oven and let them bake until a toothpick poked into the cake comes out clean, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes. Once they’re out, let the cupcakes cool down completely before covering them up and popping them into the freezer. Allow them to chill and harden for about 4 hours.
Step 3
When the cupcakes are nice and icy, take them out and make some room for the star of the show: ice cream! Scoop about 1/2 cup of softened ice cream into each cup and gently press it down to fit snugly. Cover them back up and let them return to the freezer to freeze up nicely, usually about 4 hours. Once they’re all set, it’s time to bring them out and give them a sweet finishing touch with some frosting. Serve up these delightful treats and watch everyone's faces light up with joy!
Extra Tips & Suggestions
- 1. When storing your decadent frozen treat cupcakes, consider using a shallow airtight container to keep them fresh and moist.
- 2. For an added touch of elegance, place a layer of parchment paper between each cupcake to prevent them from sticking together.
