Ingredients
- 1 lb of lean ground turkey
- ⅓ cup of freshly chopped basil leaves
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed (adjust to preference)
- 2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 4 ciabatta rolls
- ¼ cup of creamy mayonnaise
- ⅛ cup of tangy pesto sauce
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 fresh romaine lettuce leaves
Step 1
Mix turkey with basil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then shape the mixture into 4 hamburger patties. Prepare an outdoor grill over medium-high heat and grease the grate lightly. Grill the patties for around 4 minutes on each side. Add provolone slices on top of the patties and grill until the cheese melts. Grill ciabatta rolls until they reach your desired level of crispness, usually around 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise with pesto until well mixed. Spread this mixture on the rolls. Finally, assemble your burgers by placing the turkey patties on the rolls and adding sliced red onion and lettuce on top.
