Ingredients
- A dozen ounces of delectable pork sausage patties
- A spritz of cooking spray for the pan
- A handful of five eggs
- A dash of flavorful adobo seasoning, just half a teaspoon
- A generous half cup of shredded Muenster cheese
- A set of five multi-grain sandwich rolls, like the ones from SandwichThins®
Step 1
Grab each sausage patty and give it a gentle press between sheets of wax paper, using a creative touch (I love using a tortilla press for this). Pop them in the freezer for around 30 minutes until they firm up nicely.
Step 2
Now, grease your skillet with a spritz of cooking spray and set it over medium-high heat. Sizzle up those sausage patties until they sport a lovely light golden hue on both sides, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Once done, place them on a rack set over a pan lined with aluminum foil to let any excess grease drip off. Give the skillet a quick wipe-down.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together eggs and a sprinkle of adobo seasoning until the mixture turns frothy and light.
Step 4
Next, give an egg ring mold a quick spritz of cooking spray and nestle it into the skillet. Pour in the egg mixture and let it cook until it sets on the edges, which should take 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the mold, flip the egg, and cook for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until set. Repeat this process to create 5 portions of deliciousness.
Step 5
Time to get those sandwich rolls in on the action. Split them open and stack each bottom half with a cooked sausage patty, a portion of the fluffy egg, and a generous amount of melty Muenster cheese. Top them off with the remaining roll halves. To keep them nice and snug, wrap each sandwich in wax paper followed by aluminum foil before stashing them in the freezer. When hunger strikes, simply reheat and enjoy!
Extra Tips & Suggestions
- 1. Keep all your breakfast sandwich ingredients organized and easily accessible to save time in the morning rush. Try using stackable containers or labeled bins in your fridge.
- 2. Pre-slice and portion out your favorite toppings like tomatoes, avocado, and cheese in advance. Store them in airtight containers to retain freshness and make assembling your sandwich a breeze.
